The University Horticultural Department is a unit that falls under the Deputy Vice Chancellor’s Office.
LOCATION
We are situated in Barclay Estate near Linda compound in Chilanga at a farm of about 50 Acres
From time to time we do have very short term employed workers who are hired to do some general work at the farm.

ROLE OF THE UNIT IN THE UNIVERSITY
We are a business venture of the University of Zambia. This is done through the production of Horticultural products like ornamental trees shrubs, seasonal flowers, fruit trees, herbaceous plants fruit and vegetables which are sold. 

SALE OF HORTICULTURAL PRODUCTS
The University Horticultural Nursery has Horticultural produce available for sale to the public. We have original bred plant species that can be used to landscape your premises and your farm. These are available at the lowest price.
We are located in Barkley estates near Linda Compound. To get to our place you start from Kufue Road as you bypass Andrews Motel and Vuma Filling Station then turn off to the left at Linda Turn Off follow  this road  towards Linda until you get to Hillview Hotel  where you turn to the left and drive for 300 meters to get to Unza Horticultural.

Change from Semester to Term system The University Senate, in the interest of all stakeholders, has made a decision to revert to the Term System in the 2013 Academic Year which commences in October this year.Rightly so, some questions and concerns are being raised about the impact of this shift on degree classifications and payment of fees.
