The Cataloguing Department of the University Library establishes and maintains bibliographic control over an ever-growing collection of information resources. These predominantly curriculum based resources are made accessible to students, faculty and staff of the university, and the research and scholarly community world-wide. The department is charged with the responsibility of providing access to all formats of library materials, print and electronic. The Catalogue provides a formally organized description of each item in the Library in compliance with internationally recognized cataloguing standards and in readily accessible form. Descriptive cataloguing conforms to Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules (AACR2).
