UNZA hosts SAUSSA tournament
THE University of Zambia Vice Chancellor Professor Stephen Simukanga has guaranteed that the 14th session of the SAUSSA games will be a success.
Speaking at the official opening ceremony of the 2014 SAUSSA games at the UNZA graduation square on Monday, 15 December 2014, the Vice Chancellor said he was aware that the local organising committee had put in sufficient effort to ensure that the event results into a successful session. see photo here.Read more...

Introduction: Zambia has numerous local fermented foods. Many are consumed on a daily basis by large parts of the population and are part of the Zambian and African culture. Fermented food products rely on microbial activity and have significant added value compared to non-fermented food products due to higher nutritional value, longer shelf life and better taste and are produced locally according to ancient traditions.Read more...
UNZA Receives ICT award
UNZA has received an award of recognition from the Zambia Information Communication Technologies (ZICTA) and the Zambia Bureau of Standards (ZBS), for diligently participating and contributing in developing standards for ICT safety, protection and quality of service.
East Park Mall Opens
Minister of Chiefs and traditional affairs Prof. Nkandu Luo has praised Pick n Pay for the initiative to partner with The University of Zambia and for employing students on part time basis. Speaking at the Opening of the Pick n Pay shop at the new East Park Mall, Prof. Luo urged other business houses to emulate Pick n Pay. She said the partnership will contribute to addressing a number of challenges faced by UNZA.

Confucius Institute honours Prof. Simukanga
The Confucius Institute has awarded University of Zambia Vice Chancellor Prof Stephen Simukanga with an "Individual Performance Excellence Award" in recognition of his outstanding and invaluable service to the Confucius Institute. The award was presented to Prof Simukanga at the 9th Confucius Institute Conference in Xiamen, China on 7th December 2014. The conference is being attended by over 600 delegates.
