The Background

Demand Driven Teaching Programme (DDT) is an initiative that aims to create a platform to enable dialogue and exchange between north-south and south-south partners. Zambia and Uganda have paid attention to wealth creation through agricultural activities. However, four key challenges remain: productivity, market, natural resource management and policy. Both industries and private sector are recognized as important partners in propelling economic development through science and technological innovations. The integration of private industry requirements into higher education curriculum through DDT will enable training of professionals needed by the job markets, who are also able to transform lives of the rural citizen.
