Invitation to the Miseq Hands-On Training

The purpose of this training is to provide an opportunity to attend a full-experiment procedure of bacterial metagenome analysis using Miseq. We will prepare a “library “(sample should be analyzed on Miseq) on June1, June3, then run Miseq on June3. We will get data on June 7. The analysis quick guide will be held on June10.

Please see the schedule below, and attendants can come to the HUCZCZ office (Next to Tryps Lab in 1F). Note that June 1 is open only for molecular experiment beginners. If you have experience with PCR/gel-electrophoresis, you can come from June 3 (Friday) AM 9:00-. Depending on your own schedule, you can freely join and leave the program. You can attend only your interested part. Looking forward to seeing you in the lab. See attached document

 

June 1 (Wed) AM 9:00- 12:00:Basics for the molecular experiment

*Expecting only for the student who NEVER uses PCR.

(June2 (THU): Mini seminar for the Miseq. This seminar is open for more students/staffs)

June 3 (Fri):Miseq RUN

-AM 9:00-12:00: Pool indexed-PCR product, purify, and quantification

-PM 14:00-16:00: Miseq RUN

 

June 7 (TUE):Miseq after RUN wash, quick data interpretation

-AM 9:00- 12:00

June 10 (FRI):Miseq Data analysis demonstration

-AM 9:00- 12:00
