Main Library

The main library offers students a calm environment for studying on four floors. Reading spaces are placed next to the book shelves, that are divided by the fields of studies. Students can conveniently study next to the book shelf that may be useful to their assignment or research. In addition to reading spaces, students have also a possibility to study in a computer lab with access to internet. In the library is a wireless internet, so studying with own computer is also possible.

The library provides over 1.2milj. volumes, access to 200 databases and more than 72,000 e-journals. Databases include sources: e.g. from Agora to Cambridge University Online Journals and from EBSCO host Research Databases to HINARI, covering several fields of studies.

In the main library, volumes cover fields like: education, humanities and social sciences, law, engineering etc.

Book Collection can be viewed from the catalogue.

From the short loan section, students are also able to find old examination papers which may be useful for examinations preparation. Special collections section offers students an opportunity to get access to UN publications and Zambiana collection.

The library also provides support to students’ assessments. The library is part of the Orientation process of first year students. It serves as a means of acquainting students with data search within book collections and also within databases. Serials Collection or section gives students advices regarding database search throughout their studies.

The opening hours above are observed during the academic terms and the short term breaks.

During the long mid-year break and year-end vacation the library will be open on weekdays from 08.30 to 17.00. On Saturdays and Sundays the library will be closed.
