The University of Zambia (UNZA) Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Luke Evuta Mumba, has described the relationship between UNZA and Hebei University of Economics and Business as strategic for faculty and cultural exchange programmes. He said this during the official opening of the Confucius Institute Language and Culture Museum at the Great Road campus today, Wednesday, 17th May 2017.

The University of Zambia and the Confucius Institute at its Great East Road campus is hosting the 2017 Joint Conference of Confucius Institutes in Africa with support from the Chinese Embassy in Zambia. The Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban of China has arranged to hold its Joint Conference of Confucius Institutes in Africa 2017, particularly, Zambia. This conference will be held at Mulungushi International Conference Centre from 18th to 19th May 2017.

He said this when he received visiting dons from the Meharry Medical College and Morehouse School of Medicine from the United States of America on Monday, 24th April 2017 in the Senate Chamber.
