UNZA, O.P Sign MOU
THE University of Zambia has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the office of the President through the School of Humanities and Social Sciences to offer a Diploma in Intelligence and Security Studies.
MTN Awards top female performers
Zambia's telecommunications giant awarded two top female performers in the School of Engineering on Friday 19 December 2014 at the Head Office in Lusaka. The prizes went to the best second year female student entering into the Department of Engineering Nkumbwa Sharon who received fifteen thousand kwacha and Chilufya Chitindi who received the best graduating female student prize in telecommunication amounting to five thousand kwacha.
UNZA hosts SAUSSA tournament
The University of Zambia Vice Chancellor Professor Stephen Simukanga has guaranteed that the 14thsession of the SAUSSA games will be a success.
Speaking at the official opening ceremony of the 2014 SAUSSA games at the UNZA graduation square on Monday, 15 December 2014, the Vice Chancellor said he was aware that the local organising committee had put in sufficient effort to ensure that the event results into a successful session.
Two (2) PhD projects in Food Science and Technology: Properties of traditional fermented foods in Zambia.
Introduction: Zambia has numerous local fermented foods. Many are consumed on a daily basis by large parts of the population and are part of the Zambian and African culture. Fermented food products rely on microbial activity and have significant added value compared to non-fermented food products due to higher nutritional value, longer shelf life and better taste and are produced locally according to ancient traditions.
