The University of Zambia (UNZA) intends to lease out the Marshlands Village – a hospitality undertaking providing accommodation, restaurant, outside catering services and open grounds for outdoor entertainments. Facilities include the following:
(i) Accommodation: 114 Rooms
- 20 Flats
- 26 Double rooms
- 68 Single rooms
(ii) Restaurant and Bar
(iii) Two staff living quarters
(iv) Two functional boreholes
(v) Open grounds for outdoor entertainment and/or for development
(vi) Situated along Great East Road about 500 metres opposite UNZA Main Campus entrance, Marshlands Village is easily accessible from Arcades Shopping Mall, Eastpark Mall, Five Star Premier hotels and Mulungushi International Conference Centre
(vii) It has a tranquil neighbourhood and is connected to all utility services
UNZA is now inviting interested reputable business houses with relevant compliments to submit bids for lease of Marshlands Village.
Interested bidders should submit lease (containing Technical and Financial) proposals which MUST include the following:
(i) Legal documents (certificate of incorporation, Relevant professional body membership certificates, ZRA Tax Clearance Certificate, VAT Registration Certificate, etc.);
(ii) Current business profile that should include names of Directors & Bankers;
(iii) Proof of experience in running a hospitality industry based business;
(iv) Audited financial reports for the past three years;
(v) Latest bank certified 12-months Bank Statements;
(vi) Proposed improvements to the facilities (to enhance image and earnings);
(vii) Proposed lease period and lease fee including payment terms (whether monthly or quarterly);
(viii) Physical address, telephone number/s, email/website address;
Premises will be open for inspection from Monday 19th to Friday 23rd November 2018 between 09:00 to 15:00 hours. The closing date for submitting the proposals is Friday 30th November 2018.
