Economic development in Zambia in which China is a partner demands the visibility of the Chinese language education in order to facilitate and strengthen the partnership. Since October 29, 1964, the official establishment of the diplomatic relations between China and Zambia, the bilateral relationship has risen to a new height. The entries of Chinese enterprises into Zambia has promoted local economic development, the living standard of the general public has also increased, accordingly. Chinese associated elements in Zambian social development have become even more conspicuous than ever before. Zambians, especially government officials at the middle and senior levels, executives in various enterprises and indeed the general public have been in more close contact with Chinese people than ever before. Therefore, Chinese language, as an important carrier for intercultural communication, appears to be indispensable.
