Biography

Academic Qualifications:

  • M.S. Animal Nutrition, Wageningen University, The Netherlands.
  • B. Agric Sc. Animal Science, University of Zambia


Ms. Chishiba joined the university as a Staff Development Fellow in 2013. She then went to pursue her Master of Science degree in Animal Nutrition at Wageningen University in The Netherlands. Upon completion, she returned to the University of Zambia and took up her role as Lecturer in the Department of Animal Science. She is involved in the core activities of the university: teaching, research and community service. Prior to her work at the University of Zambia, she worked for the Livestock Services Society of Zambia. Her research interests include:

  1. Antimicrobial properties of plant extracts on performance of broiler chickens and
  2. Use of digestible protocols to evaluate poultry products.
