Kingsley Mukumbuta Walubita was born in 1952 in Mongu District of Western Province. I got married in 1977 and blessed with four (4) sons and four grandchildren. He served as a part-time lecturer at the University of Zambia (UNZA) from 1989 and eventually joined as Lecturer in the University of Zambia’s Department of Animal Science, School of Agricultural Sciences in January 1999. He retired from the UNZA in 2009 and still serves on contract. During his tour of duty, he has taught a number of undergraduate courses such as Beef & Small Ruminant Production, Dairy Production & Rabbit, Principles of Genetics, Techniques in Animal Production; and Advances in Animal Nutrition. He served as Field Station Coordinator in the Animal Science Department, School of Agricultural Sciences (1999 – 2003) and Assistant Dean, Undergraduate Programmes, School of Agricultural Studies (2003 – 2009).

  1. The production potential and requirements of Coturnix coturnix japonica, under Zambian conditions.
  1. Development of a live grading system of pigs, goats and their carcasses and production of a manual for Field Workers, Abattoir owners and stakeholders, sponsored by Small-holder Agribusiness Promotion Programme (SAPP) and the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock (MFL).
  1. Development of the Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Action (NAMA) on Integrated Crop and Livestock Production with the Ministry of Lands, Natural Resources and Environmental Protection (MLNREP) supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the European Union (EU) on Low Emission Capacity Building (LECB).
