Hanson Chishimba

Dr Hanson Chishimba is a lecturer and researcher specialising in governance, public finance and development. He holds a PhD in Governance and Leadership, with a specialisation in Public Finance, and a Master of Arts in Development Studies from the University of Lusaka. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies from the University of Zambia. His teaching experience covers Development Studies, Public Finance, Project Management and Project Finance. Beyond academia, Dr Chishimba has extensive professional experience in investment management, development planning, public-sector finance and local government administration. His research interests include public finance, governance and accountability, decentralisation, pension systems and social protection, development finance, public investment management and local economic development. His work explores how effective governance and sound financial management can promote inclusive and sustainable development.
