The Council, Senate, Management and staff of the University Zambia would like express their profound sadness over the passing on of Zimbabwe Open University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Primrose Kurasha, on Friday, 17th February 2017.
Additionally, the University fraternity would like to express sincere condolences to late Prof. Kurasha’s husband, family, friends and Zimbabwe Open University and wish them God’s strength, courage and comfort during these difficult moments.
LAST SESSION OF 46TH UNZA GRADUATION CEREMONY ANNOUNCEMENT
This serves to confirm and announce that the last session of the 46th Graduation Ceremony of the University of Zambia for Directorate of Research and Graduate Studies graduands only will take place on Friday, 24th February 2017 at the Great East Road Campus Graduation Forum starting at 07:00hrs.
The graduands are expected to assemble at the Sports Hall for briefing and robbing at 06:30hrs.

CBM-Germany Donates Minibus to UNZA

The University of Zambia (UNZA) Vice Chancellor, Prof. Luke E. Mumba, says the institution of higher learning is committed to the provision of world class higher education services to all kind of students including those with special needs.
Prof. Mumba said this during the handover ceremony of a 15-seater minibus by CBM-Germany worth € 27,454.52 (K356,908.76) to UNZA’s Department of Educational Psychology, Sociology and Special Education on Wednesday, 8th February 2017 at the Great East Road Campus, Education Building.
46th GRADUATION CEREMONY ANNOUNCEMENT
This serves to confirm and announce that the 46th Graduation Ceremony of the University of Zambia will take place as scheduled from Tuesday 24th January to Friday 27th January 2017 at the Great East Road Campus Graduation Forum, starting at 07:00hrs.
The graduands from the following programmes are expected to assemble at the Sports Hall for briefing and robbing at 06:30 hrs as follows;

The University of Zambia (UNZA) Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Enala Tembo-Mwase, led a group of female staff to donate assorted food stuff, two beds and mattresses to a cerebral palsy patient in George compound of Lusaka on Wednesday, 21st December 2016 to signal the beginning of the giving spirit of Christmas. The UNZA ladies also funded the construction of a decent toilet at the same patient’s house.

THE University of Zambia (UNZA) has entered into an agreement with Jilin Agricultural University to set up a joint international research laboratory at the Great East Road campus in Lusaka, Zambia
This follows a series of successful bilateral discussions between UNZA Vice Chancellor, Prof Luke Evuta Mumba, and Jilin Agricultural University President, Prof Quin Guixin, held at Jilin Agricultural University in Changchiun, China on Wednesday, 14 December 2016.
