The Postgraduate Diploma in Human Rights

The objectives of this programme are to:

  • Acquaint students with basic human rights principles and their application in the domestic setting;
  • introduce students to regional human rights law and institutions;
  • Afford students an opportunity to investigate international legal instruments on human rights and assess their operation; and 
  • Grasp the rudiments of human rights principles

Admission Criteria

•    Candidate must have a first degree in a relevant field. Preference will be given to law graduates and those directly involved in human rights work.
•    Candidates should have the ability to work with both legal and non-legal materials in the English language.
