Biography

Academic Qualifications:

  • 2022: Master in Intellectual Property, Africa University, Zimbabwe.
  • 2016: Master of Science in Political Science, University of Gothenburg, Gothenburg, Sweden.
  • 2012: Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Public Administration, University of Zambia, Zambia.        

Aaron W. Siwale is a Lecturer of Political Science in the Department of Government and Management Studies, School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Zambia. He is also a Special Research Fellow currently pursuing his PhD studies in the Department of Political Studies, Faculty of Economic Management Sciences at the University of Western Cape in South Africa.

Mr. Siwale is a member of the Political Science Association of Zambia and currently serves the association as Secretary General.

  • 2022:   I attended a book project conference on “Women, Gender and Financial Inclusion:  Rethinking Gender Budgeting Responses, Inclusion and Transformation in Africa” from 8-9, September 2022, University of Johannesburg where I co-presented a paper on Parliamentary Female Representation and Party Candidate Selection Methods in Zambia.
  • 2021:   I attended the African Association of Political Science (AAPS) International conference and annual general meeting, 2021. Virtual meeting, March 25 to March 26, hosted by the University of Johannesburg, South Africa.
  • 2021:  I presented a conference paper on Zambia’s Successful Political Power Transition: Lessons Learnt at Konrad Adenauer Stiftung in Cooperation with Caritas Angola Elections’ Conference 6th and 7 November 2021 in Luanda, Angola.
