Biography

Ruth M. Sinkala holds an LLB (with distinction) from the University of Botswana, Botswana and an LLM (with distinction) from Uppsala University, Sweden. Ruth joined the University as a Staff Development Fellow in 2015 and started lecturing in the School in 2018 upon her completion of her LL.M studies at Uppsala University. She specialises in Intellectual Property Law. She is currently teaching Intellectual Property Law at the University and is involved in tutoring Legal Writing and Legal Process.

Various aspects of Intellectual Property Law, especially the Law of Patents, Trade secrets, Traditional Knowledge and Traditional Cultural Expressions (TCEs); International Law and Family Law.
