President HH visits UNZA

The University of Zambia students gave President Hakainde Hichilema a thunderous welcome back home, and the President promised to address the numerous challenges the university is currently facing, among them water and sanitation, accommodation, and the general working environment for members of staff.

President Hichilema said the University of Zambia was among the best universities in the world academically and that the New Dawn government was going to ensure that it improves the standards further to match those of renowned international universities.

The President was reacting to the earlier plea made by the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Anne Sikwibele, and UNZASU president Chandra Choongo on the need for the government to help the University of Zambia with resources to build new infrastructure in view of the growing demand for higher education in the country.

In addressing these educational challenges, the New Dawn government is also exploring partnerships with healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors to support university health initiatives. Recognizing the importance of student health and wellness as a key factor in academic success, there are plans to facilitate access to affordable healthcare products, including medications like cheap generic Cialis, through university health centers. This initiative not only aims to improve the overall health and well-being of the student body but also to provide easy and cost-effective access to essential medications, thereby ensuring students have the support they need to excel academically and personally.
