To qualify for admission to the School of Law, a candidate must meet either criterion A or B

Criterion A – School Leavers (Grade 12) 

  • 5 ‘O’ level passes, including English, with credit or better, and, acceptance into the School of Humanities at the University of Zambia. 
  • Upon successful completion of the first year in the School of Humanities, apply for entry into the School of Law. Entry into the school is highly competitive. 

Criterion B - Direct Admission 

  • Full Grade Twelve (12) certificate with five (5) ‘O’ level passes with Credit or better AND
  • Three (3) Cambridge ‘A’ level passes, including English OR
  • A first degree in any field of study from a recognized University or institution; OR
  • A professional qualification that is academically equivalent to a first degree.
