Biography

Gistered Muleya is an Associate Professor of Civic Education at the University of Zambia and holds a Doctor of Education in Socio- Education with a focus in Civic and Citizenship Education, an MA in Education with a focus in Development Education and Education for Development an MA with specialisation in Religious Studies. Currently he is the Co- Principal Investigator on Strengthening of the School Based In-service Teacher Training Mentorship and Support Project involving Zambia, Tanzania and Kenya. His research interests include but not limited to Civic Education and Citizenship Education.

Additionally, Professor Muleya is involved in the teaching, supervising of research and examining doctoral/ masters’ theses. Currently, he is serving as Assistant Director in charge of Postgraduate Programmes at the Institute of Distance Education of the University of Zambia.
