Biography

Benson Njobvu is a lecturer at the University of Zambia, School of Education in the Department of  Library and Information Science  which he joined in 2003. Prior to joining the University of Zambia, Mr Njobvu was working for the British Council as the National Knowledge Centre Manager from 1994 to 2001. He is the past Head of Department of Library and Information Science at the University of Zambia. He was Head from 2011 to 2015.  Mr Njobvu is also the past President of The Library and Information Association of Zambia, the position he held for six years from 2003 to 2009. He holds a Masters degree in Library and Information Science from Strathclyde University in Scotland. He is also the Electronic for Libraries Intellectual Property (Efl) representative for Zambia.

  • Intellectual Property. 
  • Use of ICTs in Libraries as well as for teaching and learning. 
  • Marketing of Information Resources and Services.
