Biography
  • Dr Kenneth Kapalu Muzata is a Lecturer and Researcher in the Department of Educational Psychology, Sociology and Special Education (EPSSE) at the University of Zambia, School of Education. He has over 18 years of teaching experience teaching at various levels of education. Dr Muzata taught at Tug-argan Secondary School in Ndola from 2000-2002, Roan Antelope Secondary School from 2002 - 2003. He was promoted to the position of senior lecturer in Education Studies at Solwezi College of Education in 2003. In 2008, Dr Muzata was transferred to Mufulira College of Education to teach Educational Psychology. In 2011, He was transferred to Kwame Nkrumah University to teach Special Education. In 2013, Dr Muzata was employed at the University of Zambia in EPSSE department to teach special education courses. He has taught courses such as working with Parents of Children with Disabilities (EPS 4332), Teaching Children with Physical Disabilities and Health Impairments (EPS 2035), Developmental Outcomes (EPS 1010), and Child Neuropsychology (EPS 2025). He is currently teaching Introduction to Special Education (EPS 1030) and Research methods in special education (EPS 3031), Sociology of Education (EPS 3011) and Educational Psychology (EPS 3041). Dr Muzata also supervises students at masters’ level. He has conducted research, authored and presented a number of research papers and book chapters in special education, the language of instruction, and teaching practice.

  • Bachelor of Arts with Education, Special Education and Religious Education- UNZA
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Curriculum Design and Development- Open University of Tanzania.
